Meals, Lunch Menus & Entitlement to Free School Meals

School Meals

Many children order a school lunch which is cooked in our own kitchen, the price of a school meal is £2.30 per day (increasing to £2.40 per day from 18th October). We are able to provide vegetarian meals and cater for diets due to medical needs. The school operates a three-week rotating menu. The current menus can be viewed by clicking the link below.

IMPORTANT SCHOOL KITCHEN UPDATE

As from 18 October, the School kitchen will be under the management of Dolce Catering, bringing our School in line with other primary schools in the Partnership.  All the information you need is attached and a hard copy is available at the school office.  Please can we bring to your attention some key points:

  • Please check your junk mail, as well as your inbox, for a welcome email from School Grid
  • You must register with School Grid by 18 October, otherwise you will not be able to order school meals for your child
  • You must complete the allergens section on the registration form.  (This is not a School responsibility, but is for parents to inform the Company)
  • Once you have opened/clicked the email you have 24hours to logon to schoolgrid to register your account.

Free School Meals

Please let us know at the school office if you think you may qualify for Free School Meals.  It is worth checking even if your child doesn’t wish to have a school meal…. If you qualify for Free School Meals, your child can become eligible for other grants too, for example pupil premium or remission on musical instrument lessons.

We are as discrete as possible about eligibility for Free School Meals as we do not want anyone to be reluctant to apply for or get this help.

Free school meals are offered to children whose parents/guardians receive

  • Income Support,
  • Universal Credit with an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400
  • Income Based Employment Support Allowance,
