Pupil Premium

Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

What is Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium Grant (PPG) is funding provided to schools which is additional to main school funding. It is allocated according to the number of pupils on roll who are eligible for free school meals (FSM) as well as any child who has been registered for FSM in the past 6 years. There is also an allocation for each pupil who has been continuously looked after (in care) for 6 months or more. A smaller amount is allocated for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.

In our school we set ambitious goals for all pupils.  We believe that disadvantaged pupils should be given the same chance to achieve as well as any other pupil.  As a school we are committed to closing the gap in attainment between disadvantaged pupils and other pupils. We therefore use Pupil Premium money, received on behalf of these children, to help to close this gap.

22% of pupils at Eynsham Primary School are supported by the Pupil Premium at the current time.  The current allocation for our school for 2020-21 is £83,460
